Self-Initiated project
Brief:
The project aims at redesigning the user experience of the Karnataka state road transportation app (KSRTC). The inspiration to redesign came from my own experiences with the application and hurdles faced by people over booking a ticket on KSRTC. KSRTC is one of the best state run bus services in India
Who was the target audience?
The target audience considered in this project were mostly students (frequent users) who travel interstate with the trusted bus service from Karnataka.

Process
Secondary research

A Heuristic evaluation of existing app was performed
and google play store reviews were taken into consideration to formulate questions for primary research.
Creating Taskflow

After user research, affinity mapping tool was used to find the pain points. From the pain points and heuristic evaluation tool it was determined that the navigation of the app had to be changed for people to seamlessly book tickets.
Primary research

Around 8 qualitative user researches were done to identify pain points. The task was to book a ticket through existing KSRTC app and see how many people were successfully able to book and how
many were not.
Wireframing

Wireframing tools assisted in designing the experience of the app. Paper prototypes helped in performing a series of experiments with users to test
the flow before creating the final visual design.
