Out of clinic healthcare project

Brief:
The project was in a collaboration with Maya health an NGO
that works towards bringing preventive healthcare as a practice in rural spaces. The project focuses on assisting community health worker (Health navigators), working in Channapatna to become design thinkers.
Who are the health navigators (HN’s)?
Health Navigators are young ambitious women who are working in Channapatna to bring preventive health care in community spaces that they belong to.

Process
The project totally had 5 phases, from framing needs to final concept. Further down the project these process had been converted to templates that helped the Health Navigators to further pursue design thinking and solve problems within their services.
Outcomes
Tools
Health navigators using “day in a life”- tool to get
in-depth understanding of a clients day. Each phase had different tools for the health navigators to learn design thinking.
Design thinking - Learning kit
Learning kit for Health Navigators to practice design thinking, it also has tutorial videos as well - on how to use the tools.
The learning kits were made for them to keep practicing design thinking in their space and to train HN's that will sign up in future.
Magic to ideate
HN’s using magic as a medium to ideate around problems that they have found within their service. Magic was used to inculcate the behavior of ideation among the HN's. As magic is something that's impossible or imaginative and we wanted the HN's to go beyond practical ideas.
Final concept
Conceptual solution to improve the quality of the
meeting between the Health Navigator and client.
